That is the sound of my brain right now.

I’m exhausted. I’ve been awake since three this morning, had an exhausting journey halfway across the bloody country, but I’ve still managed to finish NaNoWriMo. With about sixty words to spare.

I will now proceed to do bugger all for the rest of the evening. Tomorrow is another day.

Productivitivity (I can actually spell)

It’s snowing outside!

Usually I hate snow with a passion not quite fiery enough to make it go away, but this year I’m actually feeling pretty good about the snow. I think it helps that it pretty much forces me to stay indoors and work.

Have to read A Passage Through India, edit, finish that article for the Angler (life keeps getting in the way of that), and write an essay on symbolism in Poe. I’ve been awake since 7 this morning, and I’m almost done with the book. I’m hoping to get the article done in an hour or so, then finish the book, then carry on editing.

I also need to get a move on with NaNo. I haven’t written anything in over a week, and I think I’ve fallen behind. Still, I’ve got a week to write 15k, and I think I might be able to manage that. If not, well, it’s no big deal. I’ve still got half-a-novel, which is more than I had a month and a half ago.

Alas, alack

Just got a personal rejection from Apex. For those of you not hip to the jive of publishing, that means it wasn’t rejected out-of-hand. The editor gave me some excellent constructive criticism, but I’m not going to dive straight into Reginald just yet. I’ve lost track of the amount of times I’ve given this story a complete overhaul, so I really can’t be done with it just yet.

But still, this is promising.

Oh, and 33,395 words written for NaNo so far.
