Achievements, woo

Well, achievement, singular. I’ve written about a third of one of the essays I still need to hand in for last semester. It’s the one about Jack the Ripper, and I only really wrote the easy part. But still, that’s a thousand words more than I had this time three hours ago.

Now I’m going to treat myself to half an hour of well-deserved procrastination.

Productivitivity (I can actually spell)

It’s snowing outside!

Usually I hate snow with a passion not quite fiery enough to make it go away, but this year I’m actually feeling pretty good about the snow. I think it helps that it pretty much forces me to stay indoors and work.

Have to read A Passage Through India, edit, finish that article for the Angler (life keeps getting in the way of that), and write an essay on symbolism in Poe. I’ve been awake since 7 this morning, and I’m almost done with the book. I’m hoping to get the article done in an hour or so, then finish the book, then carry on editing.

I also need to get a move on with NaNo. I haven’t written anything in over a week, and I think I’ve fallen behind. Still, I’ve got a week to write 15k, and I think I might be able to manage that. If not, well, it’s no big deal. I’ve still got half-a-novel, which is more than I had a month and a half ago.
