Prada and the Giant Sloth made it all the way to Ben Philips, who thought it was too cheery for Pseudopod.

I can’t say he’s wrong, it is an almost manically cheerful story, even if it does have a few dismemberments and decapitations.

One day, Pseudopod. One day.

I wonder if Escape Pod might be interested…

It’s awfully hard to categorize. It’s not hard SF but it does have a megatherium and that’s bound to impress them.

I did consider Escape Pod, but until they start actually releasing episodes again, they’re off my sub list.

And they pay the same for reprints as all-new stories, so I can always send it to them if I manage to sell it to another pub.

  3. I sent one to them that was two campy, so I feel your pain!

I simply can’t write straight horror. Everything I do has at least a tiny bit of humour in it, and even my unhappy endings are at least partially upbeat.

I may have to give up on PP as a market. Or at least until I quit being so cheerful.
